Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (1976) | Let There Be Rock (1977) | Powerage (1978) |
Let There Be Rock is an album by the Australian hard rock band AC/DC, released in 1977 (see 1977 in music).
Let There Be Rock was a major breakthrough for the group in Australia, turning them into superstars. It also gave the group more U.S. recognition, despite a low chart position. The group traded in their thick sounding riffs for raw, dirty sound. Furthermore, an air of seriousness absent on other AC/DC records gives this album a different feel. Today it's considered one of their best albums.
In 2001 Q magazine named it as one of the 50 Heaviest Albums Of All Time.
