Les Démocrates was a provincial political party in Quebec, Canada, founded by former Ralliement créditiste du Québec leader Camil Samson on November 18, 1978. It was renamed the Parti démocrate créditiste on January 1, 1980. Samson joined the Liberal Party of Quebec on September 2, 1980.
According to the Quebec political website, geniesenherbe.org (http://www.geniesenherbe.org/politique/partis/cs-en.html), the Parti credit social uni was formed in 1981 by a merger of the Parti nationale populaire, which was the result of a split in the RCQ in 1975, and the Ralliement créditiste du Québec, which may refer to the remnants of the Parti démocrate créditiste.
