Leonard Covington

Leonard Covington (October 30, 1768 - November 11, 1813) was a United States Army Brigadier General and a member of the United States House of Representatives. Born in Aquasco, Maryland, Covington served in the American Revolutionary War and in the War of 1812, where he was killed in battle. The city of Covington, Louisiana is named after him.
