LensCrafters is North America's largest retailer of prescription eyewear, as well as non-prescription sunglasses. LensCrafters was founded in 1983 and has subsequently expanded to over 900 stores in Canada, the United States, and Puerto Rico. They maintain corporate headquarters near Cincinnati, Ohio along with Sunglass Hut International, but in fact both firms are wholly owned subsidiaries of the Italian-based Luxottica.
