Laura Wright (born Laura Sisk on September 11, 1970 in Washington D.C.) is an American soap opera actress.
She was raised in Clinton, Maryland, and graduated from Surrattsville High School in 1988. She married architect John Wright in October 1995 and changed her name accordingly. The couple have a son, John Michael and a daughter, Lauren. Laura has an older brother Jeffrey and older sister Pamela.
Her first soap gig was the role of younger Rescott sister Allison "Ally" Rescott Alden Bowman on Loving (1991-1995). When that show ended, she reprised her role on spinoff soap The City (1995-1997). After that show was also canceled, she was offered the contract role of Reva’s half-sister Cassandra Elizabeth "Cassie" Rae Layne Winslow on Guiding Light, which she still portrays today.
