Land of the Lost (1991 television series)

Land of the Lost was a remake of the 1974 series Land of the Lost by Sid and Marty Krofft in 1991 and 1992, with more advanced special effects and a lighter, less survivalist-oriented tone.

The series ran for 26 episodes over two seasons. It featured the Porter family - Tom, Kevin and Annie - trapped in a parallel universe after their sport utility vehicle fell through a time portal while exploring the backcountry. They also meet another human, a beautiful "cave girl" named Crista who also came from 20th-century America but who became trapped in that world when she was very young and grew up alone. Intelligent natives of the Land of the Lost include chimpanzee-like Pakuni and the lizard-like Sleestak, and there are many species of dinosaurs filling the jungle. A paku named Stink and a baby dinosaur named Tasha were befriended by the Porters.

Acting as antagonists were a trio of Sleestak named Shung, Keeg and Nim. Shung is their leader and possesses a powerful crystal wand.

A sorceress named Keela with genuine magical powers was introduced in the second season and appeared in two episodes.

Our vacation began, mapping out a plan. But the map never showed danger down the road! We felt our car was shakin' as the Earth was quakin'! Now there's nowhere to hide - it's the ride of our lives! Now we've crossed the line - fallen through time, living in the Land Of The Lost!
