The racial makeup of the city is 87.02% White, 10.68% African American, 0.29% Native American, 0.29% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.95% from other races, and 0.73% from two or more races. 2.95% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
