According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.5 km² (0.6 mi²). 1.5 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,525 people, 478 households, and 409 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 1,015.2/km² (2,634.9/mi²). There are 497 housing units at an average density of 330.8/km² (858.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 65.70% White, 26.10% African American, 0.20% Native American, 1.31% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 3.74% from other races, and 2.95% from two or more races. 14.43% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 478 households out of which 42.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.0% are married couples living together, 15.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 14.4% are non-families. 10.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 2.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
