Ladytron
|
Ladytron is a contemporary British electropop band. Various journalists have classified them as electroclash, and as is typical for that genre, live shows include real life guitarists and a drummer along with the electronics. Despite their classification, they are notable for not using samples on their records or in their shows instead playing everything live using synthesisers.
They have obscure lyrics, some of them written in Bulgarian as vocalist Mira Aroyo is Bulgarian. A number of their songs are poppy, while others are more experimental. The band name is taken from a song by Roxy Music. They perform onstage wearing similar uniforms.
