The District of Korçë (Albanian: Rrethi i Korçës), is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania. Its population of 194,000 (2004 estimate) includes a substantial Greek and Aromanian community.
Geography
It has an area of 2,180 km², being the second-largest district in Albania.
It lies in the southeastern part of Albania in the County of Korçë, from lat. 40.45/40°27'N to lat. 40.95/40°57'N and from long. 21.0833/21°4'E to 20.31667/20°19'E, and its capital is Korçë.
It is bordered by Pogradec and the Republic of Macedonia to the north, by Greece with the Greek prefecture of Florina to the east, Devoll to the southeast, by Kolonjë and Përmet to the southwest, and by Gramsh and Skrapar on the west. Other towns in this district include Maliq.
