Klæbu is a municipality in the county of Sør-Trøndelag, Norway.
Situated 20 km south of Trondheim, the primary trade is agriculture. The Nidelva river, situated nearby, is the major source of Klæbu's hydroelectric power and agriculture. The Coat of Arms symbolizes what used to be the Trongfoss waterfall along that river. The waterfall is no longer visible as that part of the river became part of Bjørsjøen lake after the building of the dam at Hyttfossen.
