Situation
Kington is near the Welsh border and, despite being on the West side of Offa's Dyke, has been English for over a thousand years. It is in the shadow of Hergest Ridge, and on the River Arrow. It is 21 miles from Hereford.
It is the home of Castle Books, and the Kington Connected Community Company (KC3) project.
Mike Oldfield lived at The Beacon (http://www.thetopbeacon.co.uk), near Kington in the mid 1970s and two of his albums, Hergest Ridge and Ommadawn, were recorded there.
