Overview
The King George Station is located on an elevated portion of the Expo Line, a part of Vancouver's SkyTrain light rail rapid transit system. The station itself is in Surrey.
Location
The King George Station is located in Surrey City Centre at the corner of King George Highway and 100th Ave. The station sits on the edge of a large empty lot.
History
The King George Station was built in 1994 as part of the second extension of the Expo Line into Surrey; the other stations included on this extension were Gateway and Surrey Central. It has since been the eastern terminus of the Expo Line. The empty lot on which the station sits on is often criticized by local residents for not being developed, as it is right next to a SkyTrain station.
Services
The King George Station is a major connection point for the Translink bus routes in Surrey, Langley, and White Rock. This station also has a small general store within it, uncommon among SkyTrain stations.
