Kikinda

Kikinda (Serbian: Кикинда or Kikinda, Hungarian: Nagykikinda, Romanian: Chichinda Mare, Slovak: Kikinda) is a city located in Serbia and Montenegro at 45.84° North, 20.45° East. In 2003 the city has a total population of 42,000. It is the administrative centre of the North Banat District of Serbia.
The municipality of Kikinda comprises of the city and nine other local communities, these are: Sajan, Banatska Topola, Rusko Selo, Mokrin, Bašaid, Iđoš, Novi Kozarci, Banatsko Veliko Selo and Nakovo.
The municipality has 67,002 inhabitants, of which: Serbs (52,111 or 76%), Hungarians (8,607 or 12.8%), and others.
One local community has a Hungarian majority: Sajan (Hungarian: Szaján). Two others have over 20% Hungarians: Banatska Topola (Hungarian:Töröktopolya) and Rusko Selo (Hungarian:Torontáloroszi).
