Dr. Keith P. Martin, PC (born April 13, 1960, in London, UK) is a Canadian physician and politician. He was first elected to the Canadian House of Commons in the 1993 election as a Reform Party Member of Parliament (MP) from British Columbia.
Martin has conservative positions on economic issues such as the privatization of health care services, but has socially liberal views on homosexuality, abortion and other issues. He often clashed with the leadership of the conservative Reform Party. When the reform Party became the "Canadian Alliance", he sought the party leadership, but finished a poor fourth with barely 2% of the vote.
In January 2004, after the Canadian Alliance merged with the centre-right Progressive Conservative Party to form the Conservative Party of Canada, Martin announced he would not join the new party and would sit as an independent MP, and seek a Liberal Party nomination for the 2004 election. He was re-elected as a Liberal in the June 28 election.
