Keio

Keiō (慶応) was a Japanese era after Genji and before Meiji, spanning from May 1, 1865 to October 22, 1868. The reigning emperors were Komei and Meiji. Keio University was named after this era name.
Change of Era
Due to the rebellion at Hamaguri Gate, on May 1, Genji 2 (1865), the era was changed to Keiō (roughly "Jubilant answer"?)

Keio (京王) is also short for Tokyo's Keio Electric Railway Company.
Keio Flying Squadron or Keio Yuugekitai is also the name of a video game series released on the Sega Mega CD \ Sega CD, Sega Saturn, and Sony Playstation consoles: Keio Flying Squadron Video Game Series.
