Keep the Faith
|
Bon Jovi's fifth album, Keep the Faith was released in November of 1992. After New Jersey all the members of the band were venturing into different areas. Jon wrote and recorded Blaze Of Glory for the Young Guns II soundtrack and the song was a massive hit. Ritchie also recorded his solo album and David released his album of classical piano tracks. All these sparked rumors that the band was breaking up.
In 1992, rock was all grunge rock. Nirvana were hot property and Bon Jovi had to do something. Jon cut his long curly 80's hair with a new look and showed it off pretty well in the videos. The fancy videos also pumped up the sales. Though female hearts were broken....the new look reinforced the bands motto....."No Frills, just Rock."
Approximate sales were in excess of two million copies.
