Karachays

Karachays are Turkic people of Karachay-Cherkessia. The Karachay dialect of Karachay-Balkar language is of the Northwestern branch of Turkic languages.
In 1943 this people was forcibly resettled to Karaganda area of Kazakhstan. During the Khrushchev times they were resettled to Kuban River basin.
