KSAZ

KSAZ is the call sign for FOX network's affiliate in Phoenix, Arizona. The station broadcasts on Channel 10 and is available to most people in the Phoenix metropolitan area and most of Northern Arizona. Its transmitter is located on South Mountain in Phoenix.
The Channel 10 signal was originally shared between KOY-TV and KOOL-TV; the two later merged to become simply KOOL-TV (the station later changed its callsign to KTSP-TV). The station was CBS network's Phoenix affiliate until the mid 90's, when it became a Fox affiliate as a result of a deal reached between its parent company, New World Communications, and Fox. (Fox would later acquire the New World group, making KSAZ an owned-and-operated station, or "O&O".) This deal set off a chain reaction, with 4 commercial stations in the Phoenix market swapping network affiliations. KSAZ has since been known as Fox 10.
Fox 10 also broadcasts as KSAZ-DT with a digital channel number of 10.1.
