John Rodgers (politician)

Sir John Rodgers (October 5, 1906 - March 29, 1993), was a British Conservative politician. He was Member of Parliament for Sevenoaks from 1950 until 1979.
Rodgers was educated at St Peter's, York and in France and Oxford. He became a scholar in modern history at Oxford and subsequently joined the staff of University College, Hull. During World War II, he worked in the Foreign Office and Ministry of Production. He then worked in business, travelling widely and becoming chairman of the British Market Research Bureau.
