John Beatty (congressman)

John Beatty (1828–1914) was an American banker and statesman from Ohio. When the Civil War started he volunteered as a private in the Union Army, and by 1863 was commissioned a Brigadier General. He represented Ohio in the U.S. Congress from 1868 to 1873.
