John Bannon
John Charles Bannon (born 1943) was the Labor Premier of South Australia between November 10, 1982 and September 4, 1992. He resigned as a result of the collapse of the State Bank of South Australia. He is so far the last Premier to have served at least one full term prior to leaving office although it is unlikely present Premier Mike Rann, elected in 2002, will leave office before the next election in 2006.
