Jean-Pierre Barda

Jean Pierre Barda (born March 7 1967, Paris) is a Swedish pop star, actor, make up artist, and hair dresser. He is well-known for being part of the Pop group Army of Lovers.

Barda was born in Paris, France, and moved to Sweden with his Algerian/French family as a child. Barda started out working with Alexander Bard as a part of the Barbie project. He called himself Farouk, but reverted to his real name when Barbie morphed into Army of Lovers. Barda has been with the group in all of its incarnations, and has often wore the most outrageous or revealing outfits. Though he is credited as playing an instrument for both Barbie and Army of Lovers, it is doubtful. There is also some controversy as to whether or not he helped write the songs, but it is certainly him singing/chanting on AOL hits such as "Crucified" and "Israelism". Barda is currently working with Alexander Bard on his new project, Bodies Without Organs.

Besides his work in music, Barda is also very well know in Sweden as a hair dresser and make-up artist. He has done work for movies, tv, photo shoots even for the Queen of Sweden. He also has a career as an actor, and has appeared in film, tv, and on stage. In this field he is currently working with a 3G phone company in developing a TV style fashion program for mobile phones.
