Javier Zanetti

Javier Adelmar Pupi Zanetti (born August 10, 1973 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine football player, the current captain of Inter Milan.
On the club level, Zanetti has played for Talleres de Escalada and Banfield before moving to Italy and Inter in 1995. El Pupi has been the campitan of the Inter for over 8 years.
For Argentina, he has been capped 71 times (as of the end of 2004) and played for his country at the 1998 and 2002 World Cups, being the capitan on many occasions.
Zanetti was named by Pelé as one of the top 125 greatest living footballers in March 2004. Together with his wife, they created the Pupi fundation for the social integration of poor childen.
