Jatia

Jatia is a locality in Guwahati, the nerve center of northeast India.
It is place with hoary traditions that takes its name from Pragjyotishpur, the ancient capital of Assam. Legend has it that Jatia takes its name from Jyotishpur of Pragjyotishpur.
