Jackson Township is a township located in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 928.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.8 km² (14.2 mi²). 33.0 km² (12.8 mi²) of it is land and 3.8 km² (1.5 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 10.27% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 928 people, 348 households, and 261 families residing in the township. The population density is 28.1/km² (72.8/mi²). There are 373 housing units at an average density of 11.3/km² (29.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 98.38% White, 0.11% African American, 0.11% Native American, 0.54% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.11% from other races, and 0.75% from two or more races. 0.54% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
