Insomniac is Green Day's fourth album and it was released on October 10, 1995 on the Reprise Records record label. Though it reached #2 in the US and went double-platinum, Insomniac didn't have the sales endurance of Dookie, its predecessor, largely due to its slightly darker lyrical tone.
Insomniac has sold 1.9 million units in the US as of June 2005.
