Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 484 people, 163 households, and 118 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 36.2/km² (93.8/mi²). There are 181 housing units at an average density of 13.5/km² (35.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 39.05% White, 26.86% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 33.26% from other races, and 0.83% from two or more races. 41.74% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 163 households out of which 36.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.4% are married couples living together, 14.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.0% are non-families. 24.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.97 and the average family size is 3.48.
