Indonesian Rainforests - a most important area being subject to some of the worst excesses of mankind. Huge intentional fires, corrupt authorities, desperate misguided locals, vested interests, etc have combined in the onslaught of this large habitat for many vulnerable species. The huge smoke problems were clear evidence of the scale of the widespread destruction.
