Hyangak
|
Hyangak are traditional folk dances of Korea, performed in front of audiences—as opposed to the square dance more familiar to Westerners, which is primarily for the participants' enjoyment.
Court dance includes jeongjaemu, dances performed at banquets, and ilmu, the line dances performed in Confucian rituals. Banquet Dances are subdivided into native hyangak jeongjae and Tang-derived dangak jeongjae. [1] (http://www.hostelsouthkorea.com/countryinfo/entertainment.php)
