Huy (Walloon: Hu) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Liège. On January 1, 2004, Huy had a total population of 19,758 (9,529 males and 10,229 females). The total area is 47.79 km² which gives a population density of 413.41 inhabitants per km². Huy lies along the river Meuse, at the mouth of the small river Hoyoux. The population is excepted to break over the 20,000 barrier.

History
In 1818, the construction of a new fort began. The city had suffered dammages during the two world wars, one between 1914 and 1918 and 1939 and 1945.
