Hurstbridge railway station, Melbourne
|
Hurstbridge railway station is the terminus of the Hurstbridge line on the Melbourne suburban railway network. It is situated between the small shopping centre of Hurstbridge and Diamond Creek watercourse, immediately downstream of the most upstream road bridge across Diamond Creek.
Hurstbridge has one platform, at which a train will typically sit briefly before returning to the city down the single track line. As a terminus, Hurstbridge railway station also includes sidings where trains are temporarily stored, especially overnight. There are two of these parallel to the platform, accesible by points on the up (citywards) side of the platform, and another three on the down side of the platform.
