Hugh McVay

Hugh McVay (1788–1851) was the Democratic Governor of the U.S. state of Alabama from July 17 to November 22, 1837. He was president of the state senate when Governor Clement C. Clay was appointed to the United States Senate, and became governor when Clay resigned.
