Hron

The Hron (German: Gran, Hungarian: Garam) is a 298 km long left tributary of the Danube in Slovakia. It is the main river of central and southern Slovakia. Its source is located in the Low Tatra mountains and it pours into the Danube near Štúrovo and Esztergom. Two big central Slovak towns are situated at the Hron: Banská Bystrica and Zvolen.
