How to keep an idiot busy for hours refers to a joke often involving sending a person in a circle trying to find out "how to keep an idiot busy for hours", the implication being that the person is an idiot. This is usually a small card with "If you'd like to know how to keep an idiot busy for hours, turn this card over" printed on both sides. Note that if your victim turns out not to be an idiot (ie. if they're only kept busy for a single turn of the card), then you can play the next level of joke on them — How to keep a genius busy for hours.
Variations

In another adaptation, one simply writes "If you'd like to know how to keep an idiot busy for hours, click here." Another variation on this joke, is "How to keep a blonde busy for hours", employing the same techniques. This variation is also a variation on blonde jokes.
