Homestead Meadows South is a census-designated place located in El Paso County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 6,807.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 8.7 km² (3.3 mi²). 8.7 km² (3.3 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 6,807 people, 1,512 households, and 1,439 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 784.5/km² (2,033.0/mi²). There are 1,628 housing units at an average density of 187.6/km² (486.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 60.95% White, 0.32% African American, 0.44% Native American, 0.09% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 37.04% from other races, and 1.10% from two or more races. 96.17% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,512 households out of which 71.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.5% are married couples living together, 14.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 4.8% are non-families. 4.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 1.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 4.50 and the average family size is 4.60.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 42.2% under the age of 18, 11.1% from 18 to 24, 28.9% from 25 to 44, 14.0% from 45 to 64, and 3.8% who are 65 years of age or older.
