Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 4,232 people, 1,135 households, and 988 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 98.3/km² (254.4/mi²). There are 1,268 housing units at an average density of 29.4/km² (76.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 73.20% White, 0.43% African American, 1.11% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.14% Pacific Islander, 22.71% from other races, and 2.41% from two or more races. 82.49% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,135 households out of which 58.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.5% are married couples living together, 11.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 12.9% are non-families. 10.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 2.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.73 and the average family size is 4.04.
