Hole is a municipality in the county of Buskerud, Norway.
Hole is considered as part of the landscape of Ringerike, not to be confused with the municipality of Ringerike. Hole is located around lake Tyrifjorden and extends to the wooodland around Oslo. Hole includes a lot of historical places, like some old churches. It also includes Stein farm, which is connected with the small king Halfdan the Black. According to the tradition, parts of his body was buried in the mound there.
Vik is the municipality center, and Sundvollen, Kroksund, Røyse and Steinsåsen are smaller centras in the municipality.
The current mayor is Per Ragnvald Berger (October 18th 1952), representing "Høyre", the Conservatives in a coaliton with "Senterpartiet" and "Kristelig Folkeparti". Elected for the period 2003-2007, he is in for his second period.
