- The Hoklo (福佬 or 河洛, pronounced in Hokkien Holo) are an ethnic-cultural group originating in southeast China (Fujian province), and now includes a sizeable diaspora, particularly in such places as Taiwan
- In Hong Kong (written 學佬 or 鶴佬), it is a slang term for Hokkien-speaking people, or those with Hokkien/Fujianese origin.
- A street in Kowloon City is called 福佬村道 (Fuk Lo Tsun Road), literally Hokkien Village Road.
