Hillburn is a village located in Rockland County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 881.
The Village of Hillburn, founded in 1893, lies within the Town of Ramapo.

Geography
Hillburn is located at 41°7'29" North, 74°9'57" West (41.124812, -74.165966)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 5.8 km² (2.2 mi²). 5.8 km² (2.2 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.89% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 881 people, 273 households, and 221 families residing in the village. The population density is 152.5/km² (395.5/mi²). There are 290 housing units at an average density of 50.2/km² (130.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 49.04% White, 11.12% African American, 14.42% Native American, 4.31% Asian, 0.68% Pacific Islander, 2.38% from other races, and 18.05% from two or more races. 5.56% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 273 households out of which 39.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.5% are married couples living together, 24.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 18.7% are non-families. 16.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.23 and the average family size is 3.58.
In the village the population is spread out with 28.4% under the age of 18, 8.5% from 18 to 24, 28.5% from 25 to 44, 20.4% from 45 to 64, and 14.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 81.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 78.8 males.
The median income for a household in the village is $54,625, and the median income for a family is $56,875. Males have a median income of $36,591 versus $30,000 for females. The per capita income for the village is $17,516. 14.8% of the population and 10.7% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 27.0% of those under the age of 18 and 17.3% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
