According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has a total area of 4.1 km² (1.6 mi²). 4.0 km² (1.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.50% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 3,379 people, 1,254 households, and 1,005 families residing in the community. The population density is 836.3/km² (2,162.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the community is 82.84% White, 11.45% African American, 0.38% Native American, 2.57% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.44% from other races, and 2.31% from two or more races. 2.57% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
