Hewlett Harbor is a village located in Nassau County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 1,271.
Geography
Hewlett Harbor is located at 40°38'6" North, 73°40'58" West (40.634927, -73.682669)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.1 km² (0.8 mi²). 1.9 km² (0.7 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 10.98% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,271 people, 429 households, and 380 families residing in the village. The population density is 681.6/km² (1,754.3/mi²). There are 437 housing units at an average density of 234.3/km² (603.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 95.12% White, 0.39% African American, 0.16% Native American, 3.15% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.63% from other races, and 0.55% from two or more races. 1.10% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
