(Schlesien) ja:ヘンルィク2世 pl:Henryk_II_Pobo¿ny Henry II the Pious, Henryk II Pobożny (b. 1196/1207 - April 9, 1241) of Silesia was the third son of Henry I the Bearded of Silesia and of Hedwig of Andechs. Henry the Pious succeeded his father in 1238 and became the most powerful of the all Polish dukes. He united majority of Polish teritories - (Silesia, Greater Poland and Little Poland). In 1239 supported the pope in his conflict with emperor Frederick II. He was able to defend his territories against Brandenburg. He was the father of Henryk III Bialy. Henry the Pious was killed in battle against the Mongols at Legnica (in the Battle of Legnica) in 1241.
