Heinrich Wilhelm Schott

Heinrich Wilhelm Schott (January 7, 1794 - March 5, 1865) was a botanist well-known for his extensive work on the aroids (Family Araceae).
He was born in Brno. He died in Schönbrunn. In the early 1800s, he was director of the Habsburg's Schönbrunn Palace gardens in Vienna, Austria.
The standard botanical author abbreviation Schott is applied to species he described.
