Heidi Fleiss (born December 30 1965), known as the "Hollywood Madam," was convicted in connection with her prostitution ring with charges including pandering and tax evasion. Her ring had numerous famous and wealthy clients, including Charlie Sheen. She was sentenced to three years for her crimes.
Her father, Doctor Paul M. Fleiss, also convicted in connection with the sex crimes of his daughter, is a famous Intactivist (one who believes in the right of children to genital integrity).
She was referenced in the song The Wrong Band by singer/songwriter Tori Amos: "I think it's perfectly clear we're in the wrong band/Heidi says she'll be sincere as much as she can/She called me up and she said 'You know that I'm drowning/It's the dog trainer again." Fleiss and Amos were friends in Los Angeles in the 1980s when Amos was a hair-metal singer. She also appears in Cowboy by Kid Rock: "Palm trees and weeds' scabbed knees and rice / Get a map to the stars’ find Heidi Fleiss."
In 1995, Nick Broomfield made a documentary about her ring called Heidi Fleiss: Hollywood Madam. In 2004, a made-for-TV movie was produced called Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss, in which Fleiss was portrayed by actress Jamie-Lynn DiScala.
In 2003, Fleiss accused her ex-boyfriend, actor Tom Sizemore, of domestic violence and other threatening behavior. On August 15, 2003, Sizemore was convicted by a California jury of domestic violence, making criminal threats, and making obscene phone calls. In 2004, she sold the rights to her story to Paramount Studios for USD$5 million. She is the owner of the West Hollywood boutique "Hollywood Madam". She resides in Beverly Hills and is a periodic guest on Fox news programs.
