Hayesville is a village located in Ashland County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 348.

History
The first settlers came to the Hayesville area in 1817. A post office for the settlers was established in 1827 at Hayes Cross Roads. Hayesville was laid out in Vermillion Township and plots were recorded in Mansfield, Ohio on October 26, 1830. Hayes Cross Roads was then renamed Hayesville. The village of Hayesville was incorporated in 1849.

There are 141 housing units at an average density of 73.6/km² (190.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 98.28% White, 1.15% African American, 0.57% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 136 households out of which 27.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.2% are married couples living together, 4.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 30.1% are non-families. 27.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.40 and the average family size is 2.91.
In the village the population is spread out with 20.1% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 25.3% from 25 to 44, 29.6% from 45 to 64, and 17.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 44 years. For every 100 females there are 95.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 91.7 males.
