Hawk Cove is a city located in Hunt County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 457.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.8 km² (0.3 mi²). 0.8 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 457 people, 174 households, and 127 families residing in the city. The population density is 569.2/km² (1,465.7/mi²). There are 245 housing units at an average density of 305.1/km² (785.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 93.87% White, 1.09% African American, 1.09% Native American, 0.22% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.31% from other races, and 2.41% from two or more races. 6.78% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 174 households out of which 24.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.3% are married couples living together, 13.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.0% are non-families. 23.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.63 and the average family size is 2.99.
