Hastings-on-Hudson is a village located in Westchester County, New York. As a village, it is located in the Town of Greenburgh.
The Village of Hastings-on-Hudson is in the southwest part of the town.

Geography
Hastings-on-Hudson is located at 40°59'28" North, 73°52'27" West (40.991102, -73.874114)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 7.5 km² (2.9 mi²). 5.1 km² (2.0 mi²) of it is land and 2.5 km² (0.9 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 32.65% water.
Commuter service to New York City is available via the Hastings-on-Hudson train station, served by Metro-North Railroad.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 7,648 people, 3,093 households, and 2,090 families residing in the village. The population density is 1,506.6/km² (3,899.7/mi²). There are 3,193 housing units at an average density of 629.0/km² (1,628.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 89.79% White, 2.35% African American, 0.17% Native American, 4.14% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.82% from other races, and 1.73% from two or more races. 4.50% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 3,093 households out of which 33.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.0% are married couples living together, 8.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 32.4% are non-families. 27.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.47 and the average family size is 3.05.
In the village the population is spread out with 25.0% under the age of 18, 4.1% from 18 to 24, 26.1% from 25 to 44, 29.3% from 45 to 64, and 15.5% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 42 years. For every 100 females there are 91.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 85.9 males.
The median income for a household in the village is $83,188, and the median income for a family is $111,227. Males have a median income of $76,789 versus $50,702 for females. The per capita income for the village is $48,914. 3.5% of the population and 1.5% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 2.7% of those under the age of 18 and 1.9% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.

Hastings-on-Hudson has many attractions and places for recreation, including:
- A public swimming pool, Chempka Pool
- A large wooded area, Hillside Woods, with hiking and biking trails
- A small pond, Sugar Pond, which is located in Hillside Woods, and is open to ice skating in the winter
- Numerous playing fields including the Burke Estate, Zinsser Field, Reynold's Field, and Uniontown Field
- The Community Center, where one can find pool tables and other games
- Hastings High School, where there are often theatre productions, and other shows
- Downtown Hastings which offers a variety of retail, including shoes, toys, stationary and pizza
