Harveysburg, Ohio

Harveysburg is a village located in Massie Township, Warren County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 563, up from 437 in 1990. It is best known as the home of the Ohio Renaissance Festival [1] (http://www.renfestival.com/).

Harveysburg is located at 39°30'0" North, 84°0'14" West (39.500100, -84.003915)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.7 km² (0.7 mi²). 1.7 km² (0.7 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 563 people, 191 households, and 152 families residing in the village. The population density is 329.4/km² (857.1/mi²). There are 208 housing units at an average density of 121.7/km² (316.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 96.45% White, 2.13% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.18% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.18% from other races, and 1.07% from two or more races. 1.95% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 191 households out of which 45.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.8% are married couples living together, 13.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 19.9% are non-families. 14.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.95 and the average family size is 3.29.
In the village the population is spread out with 32.3% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 32.7% from 25 to 44, 19.4% from 45 to 64, and 7.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 31 years. For every 100 females there are 94.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 92.4 males.
The median income for a household in the village is $44,750, and the median income for a family is $49,063. Males have a median income of $31,923 versus $23,333 for females. The per capita income for the village is $16,918. 8.6% of the population and 7.7% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 8.4% of those under the age of 18 and 0.0% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.

The entire village is in the Clinton Massie Local School District. Mail is delivered through the Harveysburg post office while telephone service is supplied through the Waynesville exchanges.
