Harveys Lake is a borough located in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 2,888.

Harveys Lake is located at 41°21'48" North, 76°2'38" West (41.363335, -76.043989)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 16.5 km² (6.4 mi²). 13.9 km² (5.3 mi²) of it is land and 2.7 km² (1.0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 16.17% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 2,888 people, 1,185 households, and 791 families residing in the borough. The population density is 208.4/km² (540.1/mi²). There are 1,735 housing units at an average density of 125.2/km² (324.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 98.10% White, 0.14% African American, 0.31% Native American, 0.38% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.31% from other races, and 0.73% from two or more races. 0.76% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,185 households out of which 29.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.8% are married couples living together, 8.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 33.2% are non-families. 27.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.44 and the average family size is 2.97.
In the borough the population is spread out with 22.8% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 30.1% from 25 to 44, 26.8% from 45 to 64, and 13.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 97.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 95.3 males.
